  1. Slice along the back of the shrimp and remove the black dirt. Wash clean.
  2. Coat the shrimp with lime juice. Leave it for 15 minutes.
  3. In a container, mix ground spices, sugar, salt and thick coconut milk. Stir well.
  4. Add shrimp, cayenne pepper, tomatoes, lime leaves and green onions. Stir well.
  5. Take 2 banana leaves and place them on top of each other. Fill with enough shrimp mixture. Wrap the leaves like a lontong shape. Pin both ends with toothpicks. Do it until the end.
  6. Steam the pepes for 25 minutes until cooked. Lift.
  7. Just before serving, grill the pepes over a fire or using a flat, non-stick frying pan on the stove. Lift.
  8. Ready to be served.
  9. 1. Choose fresh shrimp so that their natural sweet taste can come out. 2. Grill the pepes until the banana leaf wrapper turns brown to make it more fragrant and delicious.
