Resep Pepes Udang

- Slice along the back of the shrimp and remove the black dirt. Wash clean.
- Coat the shrimp with lime juice. Leave it for 15 minutes.
- In a container, mix ground spices, sugar, salt and thick coconut milk. Stir well.
- Add shrimp, cayenne pepper, tomatoes, lime leaves and green onions. Stir well.
- Take 2 banana leaves and place them on top of each other. Fill with enough shrimp mixture. Wrap the leaves like a lontong shape. Pin both ends with toothpicks. Do it until the end.
- Steam the pepes for 25 minutes until cooked. Lift.
- Just before serving, grill the pepes over a fire or using a flat, non-stick frying pan on the stove. Lift.
- Ready to be served.
- 1. Choose fresh shrimp so that their natural sweet taste can come out. 2. Grill the pepes until the banana leaf wrapper turns brown to make it more fragrant and delicious.
