Instructions

  1. Cut and wash the meat into the desired shape.
  2. Grind all the spice ingredients finely.
  3. Put the ground spices into a pot or pan, then immediately add the coconut milk, water and meat.
  4. Stir continuously until thick, don't let the coconut milk break.
  5. While stirring, add the lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, turmeric leaves, kandis acid and salt.
  6. Keep stirring until it dries and the color turns blackish brown.
  7. Don't forget to add cinnamon, star anise and cloves.
  8. It's ready to be served when the rendang is dry and the oil comes out.
