Instructions

  1. Clean the soaked sticky rice.
  2. In a saucepan, add sticky rice, coconut milk, salt and pandan leaves. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the coconut milk is finished.
  3. Transfer the sticky rice to a steamer/boiler pan, then steam for 30 minutes until cooked. Turn off the heat and set aside.
  4. In a frying pan, heat some oil. Saute the serundeng ground spices until fragrant.
  5. Add grated coconut and stir well.
  6. Season with granulated sugar. Stir well and cook until the coconut is dry. Turn off the heat.
  7. Serve: Take the sticky rice and roll it into balls. Top with coconut serundeng.
  8. Choose pure white grated coconut, grated without the brown epidermis.
