Resep Tutut Kuah Kuning
Tutut or snail is a simple, often enjoyed food in rural areas of Indonesia, and is frequently served at roadside stalls and small eateries in West Java.

Instructions
- Clean the tutu, brush the shell, then cut the tail. Rinse several times with running water until clean.
- Heat oil, saute ground spices until fragrant. Add bay leaves, lime leaves and lemongrass, stir until wilted.
- Add the cleaned tutut, mix well while stirring until coated with spices. Add water and cook until it boils.
- Add red cayenne pepper, add salt, sugar and stock powder. Continue cooking until the tutut is cooked.
- Add coconut milk, stir well, cook until it boils again. Sprinkle with spring onions, remove from heat and ready to serve.
- Considering that the rice field snail's habitat tends to be dirty, you have to clean it until it is really clean so that it is safe for consumption. Soak it in whiting water for 2 hours, while brushing the shell until there is absolutely no dirt stuck to its body. Then rinse with clean and running water.
