Don't think traditional food is less popular than foreign dishes like pizza and spaghetti – Ketoprak, a traditional Jakarta specialty, remains a popular choice for breakfast or dinner.

Instructions
- Fry white tofu until cooked. Lift and drain. Cut into squares and set aside.
- Brew bean sprouts and vermicelli using hot water. Drain and set aside.
- Make the sauce: Puree or grind the garlic, cayenne pepper, brown sugar and peanuts. Add tamarind water, mix until smooth. Set aside.
- Arrange ketupat, tofu, vermicelli and bean sprouts on a plate. Drizzle with peanut sauce then add soy sauce to taste. Sprinkle with fried onions and complete with crackers and boiled eggs.
- Ready to be served.
- 1. After the vermicelli has been brewed and drained, you can cut it into pieces according to your taste to make it easier to serve. 2. Fry or roast the nuts until they are completely cooked so they don't smell raw or rancid, and so that the savory taste comes out. 3.
