Instructions

  1. Coconut Unti: Cook all the coconut unti ingredients while continuing to stir until cooked. Turn off the heat then let it cool. Shape into small balls.
  2. In a bowl, mix the sticky rice flour, granulated sugar and salt. Stir well.
  3. Pour in the coconut milk, cooking oil and green coloring little by little, while continuing to knead until smooth and the dough can be formed.
  4. Take a piece of banana leaf, then put the sticky rice mixture in the middle and round it. Crush the banana leaves, then add one round of coconut.
  5. Fold the tip of the non-conical leaf towards the front, then pull it towards the front of the conical leaf. Do the same thing for the right and left sides of the leaves, until they lock neatly into a cone shape. Do this until all the dough is used up.
  6. Heat the steamer/coasting pan. Steam the cake until cooked and the banana leaves turn brownish. Lift.
  7. Ready to be served.
  8. 1. For coconuts, choose coconuts that are not too old. Additionally, peel the inner skin of the coconut before grating it. 2. When making the sticky rice flour mixture, pour in the coconut milk little by little while continuing to knead the dough. If the dough is not yet smooth and the coconut milk has run out, then the amount of coconut milk can be added until the dough is perfectly smooth and can be shaped. 3. Before use, dry the banana leaves first in the sun or place them on a hot steamer/ddang pan. 4. Use a steamer that is guaranteed to be safe, such as the SUPRA Steamer Pan (See Lazada DISCOUNT). This steaming pot consists of 3 layers. The bottom pot functions as a container for boiling water and the other 2 pots as food containers. Each pan has a diameter of 28 cm. Suitable for steaming on a large scale at once
