Resep Biji Salak
This sweet dish resembles candil porridge, but uses mashed cassava instead of glutinous rice flour. It’s cooked in a thick sugar syrup and served with coconut milk sauce, making it a popular iftar treat.

Instructions
- Coconut milk sauce: Boil all the ingredients together. Keep stirring until it boils. Remove and set aside.
- In a container, mix fine sweet potatoes, sago flour, sugar and salt. Mix well and knead, then shape into balls the size of snake fruit seeds. Set aside.
- In a saucepan, boil water, brown sugar and pandan leaves until it boils and mixes well. Remove then strain.
- Bring the brown sugar stew back to a boil. Add the snake fruit dots. Stir well and cook until the balls float. Reduce heat.
- Pour in the sago flour solution. Stir well and cook until the porridge explodes. Lift.
- Ready to be served with coconut milk sauce.
- 1. When kneading the salak seed dough, if the dough is too dry, you can add a little water. If the dough is too soft or sticky, you can add a little more sago flour. 2.
