- Sweet Potato Balls: Puree steamed purple sweet potatoes that are still hot until soft, then add tapioca and granulated sugar, stir well.
- Pour water little by little until the texture can be softened. Shape the dough into small candil balls.
- Boil water with sugar, salt, pandan leaves until it boils. Once boiling, add the sweet potato balls. Cook until the sweet potato balls float.
- Add the tapioca flour solution while stirring, cook until thickened. Turn off the heat, set aside.
- Coconut milk sauce: Cook coconut milk, salt and pandan leaves until boiling. Add diluted cornstarch. Stir well until the sauce thickens.
- Serve the candil porridge drizzled with coconut milk sauce.
