Ingredients

1 servings
  • 1 cup whole frozen strawberries (about 10 large berries or mixed berries of choice)
  • 1 medium ripe banana (peeled and cut in half)
  • ¾ cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons oatmeal
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter or almond butter
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons honey
  • Water or unsweetened almond milk (as needed)
  • Ice (optional)

Steps

  1. Place all of the ingredients but the ice in a blender: strawberries, banana, Greek yogurt, oatmeal, peanut butter, and 1 teaspoon honey.

  2. Blend until smooth. Depending upon the size and power of your blender, you may need to stop it and scrape down the pitcher a couple of times. If the mixture is too thick to blend, splash in a little water or almond milk, stir to move the contents of the blender around, and blend again; if it is too thin, blend in a few ice cubes. Taste and add additional honey if you would like the smoothie sweeter. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
