Ingredients

6 servings
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup whole wheat flour
  • ¼ cup rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons whole bran cereal
  • 2 tablespoons granulated white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅓ cup nonfat milk
  • ¼ cup water
  • 3 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil
  • ⅓ cup fresh or frozen blueberries ((thawed))

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F., and lightly grease a baking sheet (or line with parchment paper).

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients (through salt).

  3. In a small bowl, combine the milk, water and oil. Stir the milk mixture into the flour mixture until just combined. Gently stir in the blueberries.

  4. Spoon the batter into 6 mounds (about ⅓ cup each) on the prepared baking sheet. Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until lightly browned. If desired, serve with fruit jam.
