Ingredients

4 servings
  • 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon granulated white sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • ⅓ cup canola or vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs, (lightly beaten)

Steps

  1. Preheat your waffle iron.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Add the milk, oil and eggs and whisk together until smooth.

  3. Spray the waffle iron with nonstick spray. Pour the batter into the waffle iron until it spreads within about 1-inch of the edges. Cover and bake until done (on my waffle iron, the light goes off when done).

  4. Lift the cover, loosen the waffle with a fork and serve immediately.
