  1. In a saucepan, bring plenty of water to a boil. Boil the soaked pearl sago until half cooked. It is characterized by the outer part of the sago which looks clear. Turn off the heat and let the sago pearls soak in water for 30 minutes until completely cooked. Remove and drain the pearl sago, then soak it in cold water to prevent it from sticking and sticking together. Set aside.
  2. In a container, dissolve hunkwe flour with 300 ml of water. Mix well and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, mix 500 ml water with sugar, salt, vanilla, instant coconut milk and pandan leaves. Cook while continuing to stir until it boils.
  4. Pour in the hunkwe flour solution. Stir quickly until the mixture thickens, feels heavy, and explodes. Turn off the heat.
  5. Add the pearl sago (drain it from the soaking water first). Stir until the sago is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  6. Pour the mixture and divide into several molds. Let it cool then store in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  7. Ready to be served.
  8. 1. If you want it to be more savory, you can add the amount of coconut milk according to taste. 2. This cake can also be wrapped in banana leaves or clear plastic according to taste.
