Ingredients

8 servings
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon dry white wine
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup flaked crab meat ((fresh will be better than canned, but you can use either))
  • 16 slices French bread ((baguette size is good))
  • ½ cup shredded, fresh Parmesan

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to broil.

  2. In a medium saucepan, heat the butter and milk over low heat until thick. Add the wine, salt and crab meat and stir until mixed; remove from heat.

  3. Spread the mixture on the bread slices. Place on a baking sheet and sprinkle with cheese; broil until the cheese melts. Serve immediately.
