- 4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
- 8 teaspoons flour, (divided)
- 8 teaspoons honey (divided)
- zest of 2 limes
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 6 tablespoons Butter
- 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1 teaspoons honey
- 1 clove garlic, (minced, about 1 teaspoon)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
Steps
Pat the salmon fillets dry and sprinkle 2 teaspoons of flour on each fillet. Drizzle 2 teaspoons of honey on each floured filet.
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the filets and cook for 3-5 minutes on each side until they are browned and cooked through.
For the browned butter sauce, heat the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Once the butter is melted, turn up the heat just a notch above medium and continue to cook, stirring constantly, it will froth and then brown.
Remove the browned butter from the heat and whisk in the lime juice, honey, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Pour the browned butter sauce over the salmon sprinkle with your lime zest, and enjoy!
