Resep Getuk Lindri

This sweet potato snack, a popular treat in Central or East Java, comes in two varieties: plain getuk and getuk lindri, both made by mashing steamed or boiled sweet potatoes with brown sugar and slicing them.

Instructions

  1. Steam the cassava until it is really soft. Remove from heat and immediately mash the cassava while it is warm. Set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix granulated sugar, coarsely grated coconut and salt. Stir well until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Mix the mashed cassava, sugar mixture, and green coloring. Mix well.
  4. Grind the getuk dough using a special getuk lindri grinding tool. Roll then cut the getuk. Set aside.
  5. Mix all the topping ingredients then mix and sprinkle with the getuk.
  6. Ready to be served while warm.
  7. 1. Use a steamer pan that is large enough, such as the GM Bear 2 Level Steamer and Boil Pot (See Lazada DISCOUNT) so that you can put a lot of cassava in at once and cook more quickly. 2. If you don't have a getuk lindri mold, you can press the dough in a baking pan and then cut it into squares.
