Ingredients
- 1½ pounds ground beef
- ⅓ cup taco seasoning
- 4 ounces chopped green chile (or your favorite salsa)
- 28 -30 ounces refried beans
- ⅓ cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 3 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
- 8 large flour tortillas
- sour cream
- avocado slices
- shredded lettuce
- chopped tomatoes
- jalapeno slices
- sliced black olives
- chopped fresh cilantro
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F. In a large skillet, cook and crumble the ground beef. Season the meat generously with taco seasoning while cooking. Add the green chile to the meat and stir to combine.
-
Scoop the can of refried beans into a medium-size bowl and smash with a spoon until smooth and spreadable.
-
To assemble the burritos, spread a line of refried beans down the center of a tortilla. Top it with a spoonful of the beef mixture, shredded cheese, and a sprinkling of cilantro.
-
Roll up the burrito and place edge side down on a large baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and fillings. Bake uncovered for about 20 minutes until the tortillas are golden brown with crisp edges.
-
Remove from the oven and transfer the burritos onto plates. Add your favorite toppings to the plates and serve immediately.
