Ingredients
4 servings
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup milk
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar (or to taste)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cups old fashioned oats
- 1 g ranny smith apple (peeled and chopped)
- ¼ cup raisins
- 1 tablespoon butter
- chopped pecans (brown sugar and cream for topping, optional)
Steps

Bring water, milk, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt to a boil.

Stir in oats, apples, and raisins. Reduce heat to simmer and cook 13-16 minutes stirring frequently so the milk doesnt burn.

Remove from heat and stir in butter. Top as desired and serve.
