Ingredients
- 4 FROZEN double Swiss Roll packs (sliced very thin, about ¼-inch thick)
- 1½ cups heavy cream
- 1½ cups milk
- ½ cups sugar
- ⅛ teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ¼ cup chocolate sauce (homemade or store-bought (cold or room temperature, NOT warm))
Steps
-
Place 4 packages of Swiss Rolls in the freezer until firm, at least 4-6 hours, or overnight.
-
Whisk together the cream, milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's directions.
-
While the ice cream is churning, slice each of the Swiss Rolls very thin and place the sliced pieces on a plate. Return the sliced Swiss Rolls to the freezer until ready to assemble the ice cream.
-
When the ice cream has finished churning, scoop about ⅓ of the ice cream into a freezer-safe container, and drizzle the ice cream with a couple of tablespoons of chocolate sauce. Layer about ⅓ of the frozen sliced Swiss Rolls over the ice cream. Repeat the layers twice more and then place in the freezer until firm.
