Ingredients

  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • 1½ cups milk
  • ¾ cups sugar
  • ⅛ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup lemon curd (homemade or store-bought)

Steps

  1. Whisk together the cream, milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's directions.

  2. While the ice cream is churning, prepare the lemon curd (see notes). Make sure the curd has cooled to room temperature before adding it to the ice cream.

  3. When the ice cream has finished churning, scoop it into a freezer-safe container with drizzles of lemon curd, creating alternating layers. Freeze until firm.
