Ingredients

6 servings
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 pound peeled and deveined shrimp
  • ¼ cup hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
  • green onions for garnish
  • sesame seeds for garnish

Steps

  1. In a large skillet heat the 1 tablespoon oil over medium high heat.

  2. Add the 1 pound peeled and deveined shrimp and cook until the shrimp is fully cooked and no longer translucent, about 4-5 minutes.

  3. In a medium bowl combine together ¼ cup hoisin sauce and 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce. Pour the sauce on top of the shrimp and toss to coat.

  4. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat the sauce. Serve immediately with green onions and sesame seeds for garnish, if desired.
