Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated white sugar
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons salted butter
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps

  1. To a medium saucepan, add sugar, cream, cocoa powder, butter, corn syrup and salt; stir.

  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and add vanilla.

  3. Serve over ice cream, cake, brownies, or puddings. Keep refrigerated.
