Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp (shelled and deveined, tail on)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 3 dashes cayenne pepper
  • ¼ cup white wine
  • 1½ tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped Italian parsley

Steps

  1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water. Drain and pat them dry with paper towels. Set aside.

  2. Heat a skillet (cast iron preferred) over medium heat and add the unsalted butter. Melt the butter, stirring until it starts to foam and turns brown. Add the garlic and sauté for 10 seconds before adding the shrimp.

  3. Stir and toss the shrimp with a spatula until both sides are nicely cooked. Add the salt, cayenne pepper, white wine, and lemon juice. Cook to reduce the sauce slightly. Add the parsley and turn off the heat. Serve immediately.
