Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds ripe tomatoes (diced, about 4 cups)
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar (or honey)
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • ⅓ cup water
  • 1 jalapeño (or serrano chile, minced, optional)
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon cumin

Steps

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan.

  2. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to simmer and cook 60-70 minutes or until thickened and jammy.
