Teriyaki Poached Eggs Recipe
Soft teriyaki poached eggs made two ways. Cooked gently in homemade teriyaki sauce on the stovetop or prepared in the air fryer for a quicker version. Simple ingredients, bold sweet-savory flavor, and ready in minutes. Perfect for serving over rice, toast, or greens.

Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- Homemade teriyaki
- roasted sesame (green onions (optional))
- 1 cup soy sauce.
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp grated ginger.
- 1 tsp minced garlic.
- 1/2 cup mirin
- oil spray
- 8 tbsp water
- Terikayi Sauce
- Roasted Sesame
- Green Onions
Steps

In a sauce pan mix all the teriyaki sauce ingredients and simmer until syrup texture.

Once the teriyaki sauce has thickened, lower the heat so it stays gently simmering and not boiling.

Carefully crack the eggs directly into the teriyaki sauce, keeping them separate if possible.

Let the eggs cook in the sauce.

Cook for 3 min with a lid on, allowing the egg whites to set while the yolks remain soft.

Gently remove the eggs from the sauce with a spoon.

Garnish with roasted sesame and sliced green onions.

Serve.

Spray each ramekin with non stick cooking, set them into the basket of the air fryer.

Poached the Eggs in the Air Fryer

Cook at 360 F/190°c for 6.30min.

Remove the cup from the air fryer, taking care because they are very hot.

Use a spoon to gently lift it out of the cup onto your plate or onto a piece of toast.

Garnish with Teriyaki sauce, roasted sesame, green onions and serve.
