Slow Cooker Turkey Soup (Cajun Bean)

- 1 (20 ounce each) bag HamBeens® Cajun 15 BEAN SOUP
- 1 g reen bell pepper (diced)
- 1 large onion (diced)
- 1 cup diced celery
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 8 ounces smoked sausage (sliced)
- 2 cups cooked chopped turkey (or shredded)
- 4 cups reduced sodium chicken broth
- 2 cups water
- 1 (14.5 ounce each) can diced tomatoes
- salt and black pepper (to taste)
- chopped fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
Steps
Rinse beans and remove any debris.
Place beans, onion, pepper, celery, garlic, chicken broth, water, and turkey a 6 quart slow cooker.
Cook on high 5-7 hours or until beans are tender.
Add seasoning packet, sausage and tomatoes.
Cook for an additional 30 minutes.
Serve with cornbread.
