  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Chinese rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)

Steps

  1. Rinse the cucumber thoroughly under cold running water, then slice it into thin slices.

  2. Transfer the sliced cucumber to a bowl, add the salt, and mix well. Set aside for 30 minutes.
