Loaded Cheeseburger Recipe

Ingredients
- 1.3 - 1.5 lbs ground chuck
- 1 Tbsp McCormick Grill Mates "Montreal Steak Seasoning"
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 Tbsp A1 Steak Sauce
- 4 buns (Lettuce, tomatoes, sautéed onions & mushrooms, cheese, pickles, ketchup, mayo....whatever you like!)
Steps
-
Combine ground meat with 1 Tbsp steak seasoning, 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, 2 Tbsp A1 steak sauce and mix well. Form 4 equal sized disks. Press them down to about 1/3" thick and create an indentation with your thumb in the center of the patty to keep it from puffing up.
-
For medium-well done burgers, grill about 6 min on each side. Do not press the patties down or the juice will seep out. You can rotate the patties halfway on each side to get a criss-cross pattern. Top with cheese during the last minute. Remove the burgers from heat and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. This way, the juices don't all drain when you take a bite.
-
I don't think you need instructions on how to assemble the burger, but Vadim says there is a proper order (i.e. how he built burgers while working at Chilis Restaurant years ago): Bottom bun with dressing, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, burger patty topped with cheese and then the top bun with dressing.
