- 8 ounces cream cheese, (at room temperature)
- 1½ cups shredded Swiss cheese
- ⅓ cup mayonnaise ((light mayo is fine))
- ¼ cup chopped green onions
- ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ⅛ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- ¼ cup sliced almonds, (toasted)
Steps
In a medium mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to combine all ingredients except the almonds at a medium speed until well blended. Then stir in the almonds.
Spread into a small, decorative casserole dish or an 8x8-inch glass dish.
Microwave about 6 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the dip is warm (stir after 4 minutes). Do not overcook.
Stir before serving. Serve with crackers or rye bread rounds.
