Ingredients

1 servings
  • 1 cup (16 Tbsp; 226g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup (30g) confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons honey or pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or more to taste
  • pinch of salt

Steps

  1. In a large bowl using a handheld mixer or stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, beat the butter for 1 minute on medium speed until completely smooth and creamy. Add the remaining ingredients, starting with only 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Beat on medium-high speed until extra creamy and a little fluffy, about 3 to 4 minutes. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a silicone spatula and beat again as needed to combine. Taste. Add more cinnamon (up to 1 and 1/4 teaspoons) and/or more salt if desired.

  2. Serve with a drizzle of honey or maple syrup, and/or a sprinkle of cinnamon or flaky sea salt. Cover leftovers tightly and store at room temperature for up to 2 days or in the refrigerator for up to 2–3 months.
