Eggnog French Toast

Ingredients
- 1 cup eggnog
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch of ground nutmeg
- pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 8 slices thickly-sliced bread
- optional toppings: powdered sugar, maple syrup
Steps

In a medium bowl, whisk eggnog, egg, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt together until smooth. Set aside.

Heat butter in a large sauté pan over medium heat until melted. Meanwhile, dip a slice of bread in the eggnog mixture so that it is coated on both sides. Tap on the side of the bowl to shake off the excess.

Place bread in the sauté pan and cook on medium-high on each side for 3 minutes, or until browned and toasted. Remove and repeat with remaining slices of bread until they are all toasted.

Serve French toast warm, dusted with powdered sugar and drizzled with maple syrup if desired.
