Ingredients

8 servings
  • 1½ pounds ground beef
  • 1 small onion, (peeled and finely chopped)
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 32 ounces frozen tater tots
  • Two 10.75-ounce cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1⅓ cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 350℉.  Spray a 9x13-inch pan with nonstick spray.

  2. In a large skillet, cook the beef and onion over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink; remove and discard the fat. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. Transfer the meat mixture to the prepared baking dish. Top with the Tater Tots. In a medium bowl, whisk together the soup and milk. Pour over the potatoes. Sprinkle with the cheese. Bake, uncovered, for 40 minutes.
