Ingredients

  • 1 stick salted butter, cubed
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 4 -5 cups fresh or frozen (do not thaw) blueberries

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.2. Drop the butter into a 9×13 inch baking dish (or similar size oval dish) and place in the oven to melt, 10 minutes.3. Stir together the 1 cup + 2 tablespoons flour, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon, and salt. Add the milk, brown sugar, molasses, and vanilla, and mix until combined.4. In a bowl, toss the blueberries with 1/4 cup brown sugar and 2 tablespoons flour. 5. Pour the batter over the melted butter. Spoon the blueberries over the batter. Bake 50-55 minutes, until the center is just set and the edges begin to brown. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream. Enjoy!!
