Ingredients

12 servings
  • 8 ounces crumbled feta cheese
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped green onions
  • 1 large egg, (lightly beaten)
  • One 17.3-ounce package frozen puff pastry, (thawed and rolled out a little to smooth)
  • 1 large egg yolk, (beaten with 1 teaspoon water)

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

  2. In a small bowl, blend feta, onions and egg.

  3. Cut the pastry into twelve 3-inch squares. Place a mounded tablespoon of the feta mixture in the center of each square. Moisten the edges with water and fold the pastry over the filling to form a triangle. Firmly press the edges together with a fork to seal. Lightly brush the pastries with the egg yolk mixture. Place the pastries on a baking sheet.

  4. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm or at room temperature.
