Best Recipe for Spice Cake

• 1 cup butter ((2 sticks))
• 2 cups brown sugar (packed)
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 5 large eggs
• 1 cup buttermilk*
• 2 teaspoons Mexican vanilla
• 1 teaspoon almond extract
• 2 tablespoons molasses
• 1/2 cup sour cream
• 3 cups + 2 tablespoons all purpose flour (sifted)
• 1 teaspoon kosher salt
• 1 tablespoon baking powder
